Out of curiosity, why didn't you like the album? "Panic Switch" drew me to SSPU recently, but I hung around because I enjoy Swoon a lot. So many layers. "Panic Switch" lost its initial appeal after listening (and listening and listening) to the album.
I experienced the opposite effect. I felt like everything on Swoon kind of melded together, except for Panic Switch. I dunno, nothing really stuck out to me. I gave the album 4 or 5 consecutive listens, and it didn't tug at my heartstrings. for me, music clicks or it doesn't. this band doesn't flick that little light switch on, but I still love the song.
