Vampire Weekend announce fall tour dates
they're playing the Greek Theatre in Berkeley. I'm seeing Pavement there on Friday. this is all a little surreal. I first saw VW at an itty bity venue called Rickshaw Stop (where they all signed my copy of their SPIN cover...and I happily chatted up their drummer for a while), but since then, they've played Oakland's majestic Fox Theatre and have had evening slots for Coachella and other similar fests. well done!
they're touring with Beach House, so double yum.

I'm so lucky. I have to come home from college on 09/09 for my sisters wedding. The following day they play my hometown :) perfection.
We get the Hollywood Bowl. 17,000+ fans. It's crazy to think about how I saw them at a VFW in November. The place couldn't have held more than 200 people.
