So after all these years it is "all about the money" as he and Ryan once joked in In Transit (Ryan: "What do you think your fourth record will sound like" Julian: "Whatever the market needs, whatever will make a profit"). Hahah. Interesting, I'll say.
Yeah, something about that interview was great (the honesty, maybe). But mostly I'm left with an icky feeling. I don't like the idea of the band recording without cohesion. That's bothersome.
i think he was so charming when saying "the money" that i cannot be disappointed at all.. and come on, guys, i don't think that any band does it for different reasons.. of course the love playing live on stage but if they get lots of money for it, it is even more tempting to do so.. who wouldn't??

Yeah, you pinned it. Good interview, but yet I'm left uneasy. Ah well. Being a Strokes fan is emotionally draining, what's new?
