erm, I just saw them as a cool new band emulating some great hard rock bands. yeah, it's a shame but maybe the new "wolfmother" will still put out good music.
Time will tell. Also, debuts rarely show true musical invention. Even some of the best (Appetite for Destruction, Led Zeppelin - my roots showing) weren't anything new, just good compositions with good artists.
agreed. haha I like your roots. in my opinion, the greatest tragedy of our generation is that some people will go through life never having heard quality music like Zeppelin while listening to crap like (well, I'm going to be discreet here and not name names. ok, well, just look at the cover of RS right now. gag.) for decades. literally decades.
