The Strokes Post #152
having just read Spin's not-so-good review of the Monkeys' forthcoming Humbug (they call it predictable and unfocused, and end with the sentiment that it's best to wait for their fourth "return to form" album), I am not convinced. Alex Turner and co will always be brilliant in my book. plus, I really like the new single.
so this post is a tribute to Arctic Monkeys' tribute to The Strokes. long live my favourite bands.
Screw that review, I for one am very excited for 'Humbug'. Although the name does beg for bad reviews, all utilising the phrase, "bah, humbug!"
Anyway, in an interview somewhere I'm sure I read Julian saying he was a big fan of the Arctics; I'm thinking a 2010 tour together should happen. It would be one of the greatest things, ever.
oh my goodness. that is pure genius. it would totally compensate for the fact that I missed the Kings of Leon/Strokes tour. I've seen Arctic Monkeys live and they are positively spectacular. we should email Ryan and petition for that to happen!

I remember when I first realised that tour had happened. It was not a good day.
Do you think it could actually happen if we emailed him?
I'm about to send an email right now.
