He doesn't look so great anymore, and he's lost a lot of stage presence slash charisma imo. He has quickly gone from being my favorite Strokes member to being my least favorite. He comes off like a pompous ass in most of his interviews saying stuff like I can't say anything about my relationship with the Strokes but I hate them (not exactly, but weird stuff). and his solo record is alright, but by no means is it BRILLIANT THE GREATEST ALBUM OF 2010. The best album of 2010 was Contra (ps Hanan, why dont you feature more Vampire Weekend, you never talk about them). anways, im keeping my fingers crossed that the fourth album is any good and that they don't break up right after or before it

a. Phrazes was released in 2009 not 2010. I named it #2 on my top ten albums so I will agree with you it isn't perfect but I love it to death
b. Contra is indeed amazing. I reviewed it with high regard and talked about how great VW were when I saw them at Coachella. I mention them when neccessary, like when they release new videos and stuff but they are usually low on the news radar. I didn't post about that lawsuit because everyone was talking about it and I didn't want that retarded bitch getting more press than she already was. I actually listened to their debut while running yesterday (I've been on an older albums kick...listened to Alligator by The National on this morning's run)
lastly, I will have to disagree with you about Julian. although he has indeed lost that youthful craziness, I would credit that to his sobriety rather than him being jaded. I think he just puts more thought into his answers now, with good reason. people, especially bloggers, like to twist everything. the band's been through a lot...Albert was in rehab a few months back. I think they are all a little sensitive to how they're perceived, especially after their hiatus. but in the end, I think they know in their hearts that the music is greater than the individuals who produce it, and they wouldn't have it any other way
I actually like the pictures, I'm quite attracted the "rough" look he has going on, but that's just me and my weird taste.
And, I do see Vampire Weekend being mentioned in the post right under this one. Well, it's a cover for one of their songs, but it mentions them none the less.

Much as I love him, and much as he is exuding sexiness as ever, I cant help but think he looks kind of... tired in this series of photos?
yes, he also looks like he's lost some weight because of stress.
