Yeah I really enjoyed this article, it portrayed said 'evolution' well. I bought it too. I'm going to go broke soon if I keep buying all these Strokes-related magazines (you know, given that THEY'RE BACK! lol).
Mary Shea I know exactly what you mean. I bought it anyways though 'case I love Filter, it's a cover, and, yeah, it's a great article.
oh and Katie I used to get Filter at Amoeba when I lived in Berkeley. most decent sized record shops have it. I think Virgin carries it and I got my copy from Barnes & Noble (I was on my way to Borders, but realized B&N was closer) and then I got all depressed 'cause I hadn't been in a chain book store since I started college and I just want my independent book stores back. waaaaaaaaah.

Fab. Thanks Hanan, I feel like the writer really 'gets' Julian, such a good article!

Where is Filter available?
This was great. Thank you, Hanan.
Note: They misspell Casabalancas on the bottom of pg 60 "(Casablanca, Nick Valensi,".
I got mine at Borders. At first I couldn't find it, but then I double-checked before leaving and there was a stack right in front of my face.
Awesome... I'll have to find one. I read it, it's such a great feature. There are like fifty thousand typos though.
you're all quite welcome.
