I never used to like this song, but now it's probably my sixth favorite on Room On Fire (which seems low, but considering RoF's first four songs and The End Has No End and I Can't Win are so good, I have to place it at six).
But how the hell did they get away with a raggae song without the upbeat? I saw someone write that in the special Strokes NME issue, and it's so true. Other bands can't write songs like "Under Control," especially with control being this tangible place you can get.

This song's brilliant.
you like AUTOMATIC STOP?!
yay!
I've met too many people too stupid to absorb its brilliance
I know what you mean about rating Strokes songs. it's so hard.
Albert's lead guitar songs are so good.
