what depresses me the most is I never had a sister like her in Almost Famous, but I do have a younger brother who listens to Chris Brown and other g-d awful shit I don't even know. I've got him to listen to The Strokes, but he only listens to them when I play them. it's so sad, he's beyond saving. I've tried everything, taking him to gigs, emailing him good songs...nothing works =(
maybe I should take drastic measures, like in A Clockwork Orange...
You are correct about the crush. I'm disappointed to hear that her name is actually pronounced like the normal spelling of Zoe though... I liked her more when I thought it rhymed with gooey.
HAHAHA! oh my goodness we all think alike. I used to say it both ways, until I started watching these interviews, and was indeed disappointed to know that it is just like Zoe, but with, erm extra letters. whatever, I totally love her. as long as she steers clear of songwriting (although the song in the video has grown on me a TAD)
alas, the tasteless sibling thing seems to be universal.

I haven't seen 500 Days of Summer yet. It looks so good. It's coming out here in September sometime so hopefully I can see it then.
My little sister is into Pink and the black eyed peas. I have managed to get her into The Yeah Yeahs Yeahs though which is very exciting.
This is the video I was talking about! So cute.
The movie was good in my opinion, although my sister would argue otherwise.
Hanan, my siblings listen to that shit too. They roll their eyes at me obsessing over The Strokes.
...Zooey doesn't rhyme with gooey? Oh noooo, I've embarrassed myself in more than one conversation. Bad times.
On a further "bad times" note, I didn't get a chance to see the film when I was in the states so it looks like I'm waiting 'til September. Sigh.
