Have you ever seen the strokes before? Unfortunately I didn't discover them until it was too late to see them live. I'm so freaking envious right now. Let me know (anyone) if you come across an east coast date.

Mary Shea, I discovered the Strokes TWO MONTHS after they played a 2006 festival WHICH I ATTENDED (it was my first concert) BUT I HAD LEFT BEFORE THEY PLAYED THEIR SET. the thought of it kills me every day.
that box set will NOT tempt me. if I have anything to do with it, I will get a body part signed personally by Jules. and I will bug him about going to the East coast and MI too.

Oh my gosh that would kill me too. Ugh it makes me cringe with pain for you. I discovered them around '06 too, but never was I that close to seeing them.
Okay so random but I just woke up from a dream that for some reason I was rooming in an apartment with Drew Barrymore and she put some Strokes on and then I freaked out and then she told me she would introduce me! This would probably be better suited on the strokes MB, sorry haha
That's funny. I think a lot of us discovered the Strokes around the same time.
I heard "juicebox" on my local radio station like in late november '05. Then I looked them up, and fell in love with them a little bit too late. I found out they were coming to Houston on March 15th, 2006, but the show was already sold out. -saddest day of my life.
Ever since then, I've been super obsessed with them, and swore to myself that I would see them the next time they come, therefore have been stalking them non-stop! :)
Yeah, I saw them on some award show. I think it was MTV European Music Awards or whatever. They were nominated for You Only Live Once.
