The Strokes Post #262

do you guys know that line from Serendipity at the elevator: "bye, my sweet lesbian lady lover. I'm just kidding"? that's kind of how I feel about Katie.

insane quality.

Oh, and would you like mp3s of any of those? Because I have the app, I just don't know if anyone needs it. There's one for the ITAO performance though...

PS have you seen Serendipity? because I am basically obsessed with John Cusack. damn High Fidelity. the movie was so good it made me love Cusack. oh and his sister is awesome too, she even does the voice of Jesse in Toy Story II if I'm not mistaken. I never properly looked it up but the voices match methinks. I loved her in School of Rock haha

She was hilarious in School of Rock, I saw High Fedelity before I liked music and should watch it again soon, I have seen bits of Serendipity, but, again, when I was younger and less cool. Should I watch it? I do remember them standing near an elevator...

yesssssssss that is where the quote of our pseudo-non-lesbian-relationship derives from!

I own High Fidelity. I once got lucky watching High Fidelity.

scene:
him: what do you want to do tonight?
me: let's watch a movie
him: k, what do you wanna see?
me: can I bring over a dvd? High Fidelity?
him: I love that movie. yes, please do bring it
*Hanan is suddenly much more interested in boy-toy-du-jour*

*film commences*

me: I love Charlie.

him: you're so eccentric and insane, you remind me of her

me: hey, I have an idea of something we can do that's a lot more fun than watching a movie about sex!

I love High Fidelity.

*a few days later*

him: let me sing you a Sufjan Stevens song

me: er, ok

*does not return his calls after said incident*

Hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaah

"let me sing you a Sufjan Stevens song"

Hanan said...

let me qualify, because you mentioned that you like Sufjan, and I wrote the above comment before you told me that.

I love Sufjan Stevens. Chicago is one of my favourite songs ever and I listen to Illinois all the time. I did not, however, like his shitty take on To Be Alone With You with an acoustic guitar, especially because that's one of the songs from his religious album Seven Swans, which I don't like so much. also, he was obviously not Sufjan, so double fail.

Have you read High Fidelity too? I'm a little hesitant to watch the movie because I can't get over the fact that they changed it into an American film. I like my British accents!

yes, I've read most (if not all of) Hornby's books, save his new one, which I really want to read.

you should watch the movie, it's great.
